Verification policy

1. Required evidence

Both the owner and renter must complete the applicable verification process before confirming a live rental: one accepted CNIC/NIC or passport (front/back where applicable), a recent home utility bill or approved address evidence, a recent redacted bank statement showing the member's name, and two adult family references with permission to be contacted. The platform may request an alternative lawful document where the standard document is unavailable.

2. Minimise what you share

Keep the name, issuer, document validity, and relevant address evidence visible as required for review. Redact balances, transactions, full account numbers, unrelated identity numbers, barcodes where not required, and third-party information. Never send online banking credentials or OTPs. Do not upload someone else's documents.

3. Review and status

Submission is not approval. Authorized reviewers check evidence and may request corrections or further proportionate checks. A status can be draft, submitted, needs changes, verified, expired, or revoked. Identity evidence is not a credit score and must not be used to make automated lending, housing, employment, or insurance decisions.

A verification badge means the recorded checks were completed at a point in time; it is not a guarantee of character, ownership, solvency, product safety, or insurance. Owners must separately prove their right to rent each item.

4. Private access and corrections

Only authorized verification reviewers can access sensitive files. Other members never receive your ID, bank statement, or reference contacts. Reference confirmation is a contact check, not a financial guarantee. You may correct inaccurate details or appeal a decision through support. Verification may be refreshed when documents expire or circumstances change.
